How It Works
Having The Fantastic FRED Experience visit your school couldn’t be easier!
Fantastic FRED and the Professor provide a special and memorable experience that is such an important part of making this a valuable resource for life. It’s easy for Key Stage 1 & 2 children to understand, it’s fun, interactive and delivered in a mobile classroom or in your school hall to give that stand-out learning moment children can recall as a result.
In Advance
Following a site visit, we’ll book in your event and discuss performance times with you. A school event pack is provided ahead of your event containing important details and information.
This includes everything that you need to know before, during and after the event, as well as instructions for engaging parents, notice board and classroom posters and digital campaign assets.
On The Day
Our professional events team arrive at 8:30am to set up, to be ready for a quick warm up and rehearsal at 9am.
We aim to start at 9:30am with 6 performances scheduled throughout the day, each lasting 30 minutes.
Pre & Post Event Resources
The Fantastic FRED Experience provides a suite of supportive supplementary resources for schools use prior to and following the live event.
Parent and guardian pre-event and post-event videos are available to help you inform parents of the campaign and increase engagement at home as best possible. Each child is also given ‘take-home’ materials as a keepsake and helpful reminder of FRED.
Online educational resources are available via a website portal, designed to provide a foundation for the core mental health messages to continue being delivered by teachers after the live event has taken place.
Whether it’s to refresh children’s memories of Fantastic FRED’s visit or to help pupils learn more about looking after their own mental health, the downloadable resources provide fun and educational activities to use in lessons.
One Experience, Two Ways...
The Fantastic FRED Experience offers a ‘whole school approach’ tailored to the needs of your school.
